1.
X-Lon vanes are impervious to moisture - they
won't swell even when submerged in water.
2.
X-Lon vanes are non-abrasive. Because they are
reinforced with carbon, they won't scratch or abrade the inner stator
surfaces like fiberglass reinforced materials, and they seat almost
immediately.
3.
X-Lon vanes are unaffected by gamma or neutron
radiation.
4.
X-Lon vanes are tough - with tensile strength more than double that
of G11, you can count on X-Lon vanes to perform under the most
stressful conditions.
5.
X-Lon vanes can operate at very high temperatures - up to
500°F, at least 150° higher than other vane materials.
6.
X-Lon vanes fit. Manufactured to precise
tolerances in our facility, each and every vane must pass 4 separate
inspections before it is accepted into our inventory.
7.
X-Lon vanes resist attack by most chemicals. The
special polymer used to make X-Lon is impervious to all common
solvents, acids, caustics, oils, and most gases.
8.
X-Lon vanes are available from stock every day. We manufacture the
vanes in our own facility to insure we always have sufficient stock in
inventory for same day shipment.
9.
X-Lon vanes are virtually unbreakable. The extremely high flex
strength of X-Lon means no broken vanes to jam and damage the rotor or
stator.
10.
X-Lon vanes do not expand. Due to the nature of the carbon fiber
reinforcement, our vanes have the lowest thermal expansion rates of any
vane material currently in use.
